I fished the Bream Classic competition held over the long weekend of 16th to the 19th July 2011.The water temperature of 14 deg made the fishing tough. The winners caught all their fish in 13+ foot of water using heavy 1 ounce jigs and spinner baits. My team came 19th weighing in 7 fish totaling 5.9Kg. Its is very different fishing in a fast flowing river with the only structure being the papyrus lined banks. Casting has to be really accurate and as close to the bank as possible. The papyrus claimed many lures on the weekend.
Some pics of the weekend.
